Morris & Morris law firm began in the Bluegrass, and was founded in 1985 by Sharon K. Morris. After graduating law school in 1994, her son, James M. Morris, joined Sharon and began to expand the firm and their practice. In 2019 a third generation attorney joined the firm - Jim's son and Sharon's grandson, Tyler J. Morris, Sr.

Morris, served as the Charter Editor of the University of Kentucky Journal of Mineral Law & Policy, and as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Kentucky College of Law for a number of years, teaching legal writing and courtroom skills. Sharon is a recipient of the NTA Top 100 Trial Attorneys, and was recently awarded Senior Counselor by the Kentucky Bar Association.
